If you have a large list or if you are just getting started with list building your primary efforts online should be to make money with your list. Implementing the following guidelines will enhance you income producing efforts.

1. Treat your subscribers with respect.

Let them know that appreciate them. Give them gifts from time to time. Stay on target with your offers. If your list is about affiliate marketing, don’t send promotional material about organic gardening. In the long run this will help you to build a stronger relationship with your subscribers.

2. Sell Advertisements from other internet marketers.

Many ezines allow others to place advertisements in their newsletters. The advertiser pays the ezine owner for allowing the ads to be a part of their newsletter. But the ads come as a part of the ezine – not as a direct mailing form the advertiser.

Never sell or otherwise make your list available to someone else. When someone else wants to send advertisements to your list, make sure that the promotional material is sent out as a part of your own emails.

If your list is relative large, you can make additional online income by allowing ads to be placed in your ezine. Just make sure that the ads fit your ezine.

I don’t particularly like this method, but for many ezine owners, it is a major source of making money online.

3. Sell ebooks to your list.
Informational products are one of the greatest sellers that internet marketers promote. The promotion of these types of products is still a very major effort by those attempting to make money online.

I don’t have any statistics to prove it, but based on the emails that I receive, I would venture to say that informational products are the most prominent money makers among most internet marketers, especially among affiliate marketers.

4. Compile several of your own articles into an ebook.

Then promote that ebook to your list. It gives you a product of your own. You could even use it as a giveaway to enhance your list building efforts.

Many people will buy the compilation even though the information is available on your blog or in your ezine. Connivance rules over effort.

5. Encourage people on your list to invite their subscribers to join your list.

Encourage them to send their subscribers to your blog – where you have an opt-in box so that they can subscribe to your ezine.

6. Promote to your list.

If you don’t, you will not have any buyers from your ezine. Don’t worry about sending promotions soon after someone subscribes to your list. The main reason for you having a list is to make money online, so you must offer your subscribers something to buy – your own or someone else’s.

At the same time expect and accept that you will receive promotional emails from any list that your subscribe to.

There are many ways to get traffic to your opportunities, but most markets rely on their list as their main source of making money online. That’s why you will continue to get promotional emails everyday that you belong to a list. That’s also why you should make list building a major part of your affiliate internet business online.
