A Simple Blueprint to List Building Success

If you struggle with listbuilding and getting people to enter their name and e-mail address in your opt-in form then prepare yourself to be amazed as I share three little tips that will skyrocket your conversions.

First up we need a strong lead magnet, we’ll use a little cheat and use PLR (private label rights) here. The second thing is a strong squeezepage where the only option to the visitor is to opt-in or shut the browser. Thirdly send traffic via article marketing.

By following this blueprint you will have a high converting squeezepage and lots of targeted traffic, what more could you ask for?

The Lead Magnet

You want to give away something that has a high value, and is different to what all the other marketers in your niche are offering. Now if you’ve been marketing for any length of time you will have seen offers for PLR content where you can just add your name to the bottom of the page and suddenly be an expert in the niche. Sadly it’s not that easy, but if you spend a little bit of time with your PLR it can become a real strong lead magnet. Let’s take golf as our example. Go through the PLR and pull out all of the content relating to hitting the big drives, and then compile it into a “Top 10 Driving Tips That Will Have You Hitting The Fairway Every Time”. Suddenly we have turned the PLR into a unique strong lead magnet.

A Strong Squeeze Page

The best way to improve conversions is to make the page look professional and keep it simple. Search the freelance sites / warrior forum and get a designer to create an ecover for your lead magnet, a good ecover should cost you less than $20 and really make it look a thousand times more valuable than the collection of PLR it started out as. Finally the design of the squeeze page itself should be super simple. An attention grabbing headline, your ecover, 2-3 bullet points and your opt-in box. The whole design should fit into a 800 x 600 pixel table so that the visitor can’t scroll the page, and the only link on this page should be to your privacy policy.

Laser Targeted Traffic

Article marketing is a great way to generate visitors and give you expert status. Continuing the golf theme do you think that people who read your article on “How To Hit More Fairways” would be interested in your free ebook? Combine this with the squeezepage and you’ll be building your list at warpspeed…

So in conclusion I’ve shown you how to turn PLR into a desirable lead magnet, given you a template for your squeezepage, and a great way to find people who are interested in your niche.

    I liked the tip about the ecover, after all they do say a picture is worth a thousand words, and a professional ecover really can make your package seem even more enticing.

    And it’s great you mentioned targeted traffic, no point just building some random list, if you know exactly what you list wants from you, it’s much easier to provide it.
