A Simple Squeeze Page Is An Effective Squeeze Page
A good squeeze page can have a strong impact on the number of subscribers your list gets. Your squeeze page is your customer’s first experience with, and impression of your mailing list, and if they feel put off in any way by the squeeze page, they won’t sign up for the list. There is one important thing you can keep in mind to ensure your visitors have the best possible experience with your squeeze page: simplicity.
Your squeeze page should always mention the incentive for the reader to subscribe to your list. Whether your squeeze page details what they can expect from your list, or offers them a coupon for signing up, you should make an effort to describe the incentive in a clear, and concise way. For example, if your subscribers are going to get a lot of great sale offers and discounts from you, instead of writing three paragraphs about exactly what kinds of deals they can expect, just say something along the lines of ”Get amazing discounts on the brands you love in your inbox every week!’ That way your subscribers know what to expect without being overloaded with details.
It is also important to keep the sign up form itself as simple and easy to understand as possible. Don’t offer an excessive amount of sign up options, and don’t set out to collect every piece of information about them imaginable on the squeeze page. Try to stick only to those details about them that are absolutely necessary to get them signed up for the list. Be sure to use simple and easy to understand terms to describe each field of the form. For example, when asking for their e-mail address, just label that field “e-mail” not something excessive, like “e-mail address where you want the newsletter sent”. If the form is unnecessarily complicated, your visitors will be confused by it, and they will very likely leave without actually signing up.
Simplicity is the key to a strong squeeze page. By keeping things clear and concise, you can ensure that your visitors will have a good experience with your squeeze page, and as a result, you’ll see a significant boost in the number of subscribers your list gets. So keep your squeeze page simple, and watch your list grow.
