How To Get More Comments On Your Blog
If you read any course on blogging you will soon realise that a vibrant blog with lots of comments is more valuable than blogs with no comments. Now getting people to write comments isn’t easy, but with the help of plug-ins you can incentavise (a bigger, better, and more difficult word to spell than bride) to post a comment.
#1 Install the DoFollow plug-in
Excellent plugin to help the google bots crawl from website to website. Anyone that leaves a link in your comment section. This will allow the googlebots to go from your website to theirs and help with ranking especially if this is coming from a website that has a higher traffic and page ranking than you.
#2 Install the CommentLuv plug-in
This comment will leave a link back to your latest post at the bottom of your comment that you make on a blog that has “commentluv” installed on. This plugin is awesome for generating new traffic and visitors to your site. They see your blog post title and think “I will check that blog out” I have done that many a times and met some awesome people on the way!
#3 Install the KeywordLuv plug-in
This plugin allows your commentator to use an anchor keyword after their name when they fill in the name section on the comment form and the website will link to the keyword phrase rather than your name. This is great if you are targeting keywords for your website.
Start Adding Value To Other People’s blog’s
When you find a blog that has these plug-in’s the chances are the blog owner is actively looking to increase traffic, and if you make regular comments and get noticed you will build a relationship. This will become 2 way as a well thought out comment on a high traffic blog will send traffic to your own blog.
When you start making regular comments you will become known to the blog owner and if they have a list then your request for a JV mailing or help in your business will have a much greater chance of success.

Thank you for mentioning the challenge! We have 102 contributors now plus more people that wanted to join but can’t due to the challenge concept.
Now all I have to do is make sure everyone does their fair share of commenting! Oops on that one!
Good to hear the plugins have inspired you. There are different trains of thought on this. Some say that having these plugins we are more prone to get spammed.
I have comment rules in place and I monitor all the people that comment on my blog to determine if they are real people or not. I always reciprocate and visit my fellow commentators site to say hello too!! It is just the right thing to do!
I have noticed since installing the plugins that I have had an increase in traffic over the last couple of months. I do think some bloggers seek out blogs that have these plugins on them. I know I do!

If this one is successful we may just do it again! Although I think I will need a months rest first!
