Do you reckon it’s true? Okay you’re not up on this web stuff. You’ve heard all about the marketers who preach this build your list build your list stuff like your life depends on it. Ok maybe not your life but marketing career. It’s a bit of pain when you read it all over the web. On every other Blog and forum. In every Ebook. Have it drummed into you at the seminars and webinars, and whatever ‘ars’ I’ve missed out.

Seriously though, I can understand why newbie’s to this online business give up. There is so much information spinning around your head, it’s enough to paralyse you with ‘information overload’.

I am a firm believer in building a list though (stating the obvious by now).

People know alot about driving traffic, but they don’t push the traffic. Why? Probably because the technological aspect of creating a Lead Capture Page with an opt- in form seems so arduous and they haven’t got so far as to seriously plan traffic generation because of course, you need a site, funnel to start collecting names and emails.

I can really sympathize with people in this situation. It used to paralyse me too. The idea of creating a tasty looking squeeze page was either for web designers or folks who had the dough to outsource that work.

If you have money in abundance then fine. If you don’t, then you seriously need to concentrate on the basic technical aspects of creating a basic Lead Capture Page. If you want to learn to create a good basic webpage, Google it, take a look on Youtube for some tutorials. There’s an abundance of resources out there, and free ones if you look hard enough.

Personally, as a former technophobe, I found my way through the dreaded html, and found a method to put together an attractive looking Lead Capture Page in a few minutes.

Once you have that down to a tee, driving traffic is the interesting part. That is when you have a system in place. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat. Traffic generation is the bread and butter stuff of marketing and when you start making commissions while you’re asleep or out at the cinema, I can’t tell you how overwhelming that feeling is.
